On Sunday, July 27, Tomac Woods hosted its first Rally for the Cure, supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We were extremely pleased to have 45 participants on an absolutely gorgeous day.
In addition to the Rally registration fees, golfers, friends and family contributed to the cause by dropping their tips, cooler deposits and other funds in a jug on the bar, participating in a putting contest and hiring a Kennedy sister to drive their ball on#9. In addition, many chose to honor or remember a person who has had cancer, breast cancer by purhasing a sign. These signs were placed around the putting green and a moment of silence gave every participant an opportunity to think of these honorees in their own way.
Tomac Woods is thrilled to share that we have sent Susan G. Komen for the Cure over $2350!! We are designating all of the funds raised over and above the Rally registration fees to the Komen Southwest Michigan Affiliate in Kalamazoo. They have "Pink Saturdays" where they offer free mammograms in the community.
